[Travelling inwards]
Empty eyes of fellow commuters. Red brake lights of another bus heading for another main node in the network of buses, underground trains and walkpaths. Another familiar face, of someone that I dont know, using the same primary mean of transportation. The irony of cars with 5 seats but only one person with it - just an occurrence of one of this civilizatons major themes - resource waste. Snow is still decorating trees in the park. It is just another day, much the same as last day but yet different on so many levels. It is up to me to find, grow from and enjoy the specifics of todays fabric although it is woven from the same pattern as so many days before. This is the key to personal growth.
After spending a week skiing in
Livigno of north Italy it feels essential to leave some notes about it here:
- Wonderous views - surrounded by snowy mountains, happiness is easy to find.
- Nearby village Trepalle is the highest place in Europe that is inhabited all year.
- Everything is so cheap - it is a tax-free zone. Gas costs just 60% of the normal italian price.
- Driving with snow chains is slow and annoying.
- Prosciutto is more than twice as good in Italy compared with Sweden.
- Driving from and to Bergamo consumes more time than expected.
About the most perfect winter sports holiday you may think of.
We normally don't do Riesling a lot but
Georg Breuer admittedly was great accompanied with seafood. Works fine on its own as well. Smooth.
